Passengers travelling with Taiwan?s leading independent airline EVA Air can now enjoy heightened levels of luxury as the carrier?s new generation business class cabin is introduced to flights from London-Heathrow.
Royal Laurel Class is the result of a $100 million investment to upgrade the top cabins on all its Boeing 777-300ERs.
First introduced on the Taipei-New York route in June 2012, it will be available on all London flights by the end of July.
EVA, which last month joined the international Star Alliance, flies daily from London-Heathrow to its international hub in Taipei, operating via Bangkok.
Royal Laurel Class features 38 seats in a reverse herringbone layout, enabling passengers at windows to look out without turning and those in the centre to easily dine and talk with travel companions.
Or passengers can use convenient privacy panels to establish cosy in-flight cocoons for rest or work. Generous seats are approximately 65 cms wide, recline 180 degrees and stretch out almost two meters.
Each passenger environment includes thoughtful features such as a coat hook, space for shoe stowage, handy nooks for water, glasses and reading material and a convenient seat-side table for beverages, snacks or writing materials, all within easy reach.
In addition, Royal Laurel Class offers the latest audio and video technologies, starting with 15.4-inch touch screens and high-fidelity noise-cancelling headphones.? Passengers with personal electronic devices can work or relax using multi-function AV-input outlets, USB and iPod ports on a system equipped with software such as Media Player, Photo Viewer and PDF Reader.
Power sockets are 110V and pull-out tables are generously sized, all designed to equip business travellers with personal in-flight offices when they need them.
EVA Air is offering its Royal Laurel Class passengers a special overnight kit provided by hundred-year-old German luggage brand Rimowa.
This kit, contained in a racing-green box, includes Harnn home spa lotion and lip balm. EVA has also introduced in its Royal Laurel Class brand new tableware from Noritake, used by the Japanese Royal family.
