LOS ANGELES (AP) ? About three dozen parents and supporters have staged a protest at the Los Angeles-area school rocked by allegations of lewd conduct crimes by two teachers against children.
Protesters gathered Monday to demand greater communication with education officials and the placement of cameras in classrooms and hallways at Miramonte Elementary School.
School police and sheriff's deputies were on the scene, but there was no violence.
A teacher who was fired a year ago was charged last week with committing lewd acts on 23 children between 2005 and 2010. Four days later, a current teacher was arrested for investigation of fondling two girls in his classroom.
The school located in south Los Angeles has about 1,400 students.
