Google Nexus 7: Mounting USB Storage Not Recognised

The recently unveiled Nexus 7 tablet will be the first device to run the latest version of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. As of today, Asus claims that the shipping build of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean does not support the Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) which would let it to double as an HDMI port, nor advanced USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality, according to The Verge.

The MHL is an industry standard for a mobile audio/video interface that allows in directly connecting your smartphone and other portable consumer electronics gadgets to high-definition televisions (HDTVs) and displays.

"USB-OTG is indeed supported on the Nexus 7, however as anyone who has used USB-OTG knows, whether peripherals or devices work is a function of the host OS and drivers," explains Anand Tech. The site points out that a mouse and keyboard are supported on the Nexus 7 tablet. But, unfortunately Nexus 7 will not support mounting USB storage, while it is reported that the devices that will be rooted will have the ability to utilise the StickMount and can make it function. According to reports, the Nexus 7 will not support the MHL since the addition of MHL will need another package and could increase BOM cost.

The Nexus 7 is expected to be available in mid-July. It is priced at $199 (?127.6) for an 8GB model and $249 (?159.7) for a 16GB model of Nexus 7. "The Nexus 7 tablet embodies the moment when tablet buyers no longer have to compromise performance for price," claims CNET. Amazon's Kindle Fire seems to have ruled over other budget-friendly tablets, while now we could hope the Nexus 7 to revolutionise the tablet market. The tablet appears to be impressive and is expected to compete with Kindle Fire, Nook tablet and the new iPad. It comes with a 7in LED back-lit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels at 216 pixels per inch (ppi). It is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 12-core GPU. It packs a 4325mAh Li-Ion battery and is expected to provide up to eight hours of active use.

Webinar: How to get health products authorized in Canada

Canada is home to one of the most attractive markets for U.S. manufacturers of nutritional supplements. Currently, 71 percent of Canadian adults report they have used a natural health product, and 38 percent report they use at least one on a daily basis. Additionally, the number of senior Canadians over the age of 65 is projected to grow by 37 percent to approach 7 million by 2020. Increasing demand from senior Canadians combined with growing awareness of the preventative health benefits of many vitamins and dietary supplements will continue to support demand for these products over the coming years.

Since January 1, 2004, all natural health products sold in Canada are subject to the Natural Health Products Regulations. U.S. companies must obtain product licenses for their exported products, annex their manufacturing sites in the Canadian importers? site licenses and meet specific requirements in order to successfully export to Canada.

Join us for this informative webinar on how to register and license your natural health products in Canada. We are delighted to present Stephanie De Silva, Acting Manager of the Submission Management Division, Bureau of Product Review Assessment of Health Canada. Ms. De Silva will guide you through the process and answer your specific questions.

(AP) ? Turned away at the Supreme Court, congressional Republicans sketched a strategy Friday to repeal the nation's health care law in 2013 that requires a sweeping election victory carrying Mitt Romney to the presidency and the party at least to narrow control of the Senate.

Romney sought to turn the court's decision upholding the two-year-old law into a campaign battle cry, saying the 5-4 ruling had injected "greater urgency" into his challenge to President Barack Obama. "I think many people assumed that the Supreme Court would do the work that was necessary in repealing Obamacare," he said, adding that the justices "did not get that job done."

Several Republicans seized on a portion of Chief Justice John Roberts' majority opinion that said the centerpiece of the law, a requirement to purchase insurance, was constitutional because it is based on Congress' power to impose a tax. "Those who will end up paying the heaviest burden for not buying government-mandated insurance won't be the wealthiest Americans, but the very middle class families the president claims to defend," said Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

The White House said that was an argument it was happy to have. Presidential press secretary Jay Carney said Obama has signed legislation cutting middle class taxes repeatedly, that Republicans want to extend existing income tax cuts for the wealthy and then add "another $5 trillion...that would disproportionately benefit" the same group.

At the same time, the administration announced the latest in a series to steps to implement a law that already has curbed insurance company abuses and cut costs for seniors with high prescription drug costs. Officials said another round of financing was available for states to set up health insurance exchanges, the one-stop markets for consumers scheduled to open in 2014.

Polls find Obama and Romney in a close race four months before the election, with the economy the nation's overriding issue. The battle for control of the Senate is also uncertain, and one day after the court's ruling, the principal fallout was political.

Romney, Obama and congressional candidates in both parties raised campaign money from the ruling, in which Roberts unexpectedly joined four more liberal justices to uphold the law's core component ? a requirement that nearly all Americans purchase health insurance beginning in 2014.

The Republican-controlled House is planning to vote in a little more than a week to repeal the law. But that is a symbolic vote, designed to show faith with opponents of what the GOP scornfully calls "Obamacare." Party officials also hope to force some Democrats into a difficult vote on legislation that has never been popular with the public. The repeal measure is doomed in the Senate, where Democrats hold a majority.

Recognizing as much, Republicans were turning their attention to 2013 as their next realistic opportunity to erase legislation that they say gives government control of health at the same time it raises taxes, cuts Medicare and swells deficits.

"One thing is clear: we need the majority in the Senate," Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky wrote in a fundraising email to supporters. "Every path to repeal depends on it."

A 60-vote majority is normally required to overcome adamant opposition to legislation in the Senate, but under limited circumstances, a mere majority can suffice. Democrats took advantage of that when they pushed the health care law to passage in 2010 when they controlled 59 seats. Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., told reporters, "I think with a ... majority in the Senate, Republicans could do the same things."

The GOP currently has 47 seats in the 100-member Senate, and needs to gain three for effective control if Romney wins the presidential election. Any repeal scenario also assumes the Republicans maintain their House majority in the fall.

A little more than 24 hours after the ruling, Obama, Romney and congressional leaders quickly adjusted.

One effect of the decision was to make Romney's election essential for tea party-aligned voters who fought his nomination in winter and spring but now need him in the White House if there is to be any real hope of repeal.

In a fundraising pitch, the Tea Party Patriots addressed both Romney and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio., asserting "the American people are putting you on notice. We will not rest until this law is overturned."

The court's decision also injected the health care issue into congressional races.

Crossroads GPS, an independent group aligned with Republicans, introduced an ad in North Dakota noting that Democratic senatorial candidate Heidi Heitkamp "endorsed Obamacare." The commercial says the law raises taxes, cuts Medicare and gives federal bureaucrats "the power to restrict seniors' care." It encourages viewers to lobby her to swing behind the repeal effort.

Heitkamp's opponent, Republican Rep. Rick Berg, favors repealing the legislation. A spokesman said he supports "the concepts" behind provisions to guarantee coverage for pre-existing conditions, reduce prescription drug expenses for seniors and raise federal payments in North Dakota and other rural states for doctors and other Medicare health care providers, "but not as part of a $1.7 billion government takeover."

The spokesman, Chris Pack, said he didn't have any information on how those features could be left in place between the time the current law was repealed and a new one was enacted.

It's a question Democrats raised repeatedly in recent days as they tried to position themselves politically for an anticipated defeat at the Supreme Court that didn't come.

Republican candidates ran on a slogan of "'repeal and replace" in 2010, when they won control of the House and gained seats in the Senate. But they have yet to outline details for replacement legislation, and even before the court's ruling, GOP officials said they had no plans to do so until after the election or perhaps 2013. Nor has Romney detailed what he would like to see included in a substitute law.

20 social networking tips for web designers | Feature | .net magazine

Zeke Camusio, CEO of The Outsourcing Company, offers his advice on building your personal brand online with the help of LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook

The goal for any business person jumping into social media marketing is not to add friends and swap stories and pictures, but rather, to make new business connections.?

As soon as you start networking, you increase your chances of reaching new customers. However, be prepared to work at it. Here I?ll give you some simple but effective tips for the three big ones, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, to help you reach new customers, promote your business and drive traffic to your website.

');

LinkedIn

1. Complete your profile

Your profile information may be indexed by search engines. LinkedIn profiles receive a pretty high rank in Google. So instead of using the default URL, customise your own by using your company?s name or use keyword-rich terms that describe your web design business.

Update your status and post automatically to Twitter. Add links to your website or blog

2. Use the search feature

One of the most effective things you can do is to use the search feature.?

Search for web design groups and join them. Search for the people that are important to your industry (influencers) and ask to connect with them. Search for your competition to keep tabs on what they are up to.

3. Join design groups

Join as many design groups as you can and start commenting and posting. There?s a section just for answering questions. Use it to make yourself indispensible. Post helpful answers or pose interesting questions and over time you?ll develop a reputation for knowing your stuff.

Fill in all the fields (both required and optional) and include your website URL. You can also personalise your Twitter page to match your company?s branding. Be creative.

Don?t neglect your Twitter profile ? it?s your chance to make an elevator pitch for yourself
Don?t neglect your Twitter profile ? it?s your chance to make an elevator pitch for yourself

8. Understand the dynamics of Twitter

Twitter is a social tool, not a classifieds site. These are some tips that will help you to get followers:

  • Don?t spam others about your specials
  • Follow other users
  • Be active in the community (tweet and post comments about others? tweets often)
  • Only post useful and relevant information
  • Don?t tweet every 5 minutes. It becomes annoying
  • Engage in conversations. Retweet (reply to others? tweets) often
  • Don?t promote your company directly. Just be helpful. Tweet useful information, such as great web design tips
  • Don?t overuse hashtags

9. Build your followers base

There are many things that you can do to build your followers base:

  • Every time you post on your blog, invite people to follow you on Twitter
  • Search for Twitter users whose followers base you would love to have for yourself. See who is following them and follow those users. They will follow you back
  • See who is following your friends and follow them
  • There are Twitter directories like Twellow to find members who are likely to follow you
  • Use Twitter?s search feature to find profiles that interest you. Use Twitter?s RSS feed to be notified every time a tweet containing a certain keyword is made

10. Balance your followers/following ratio

Try to have a balance between people you follow and people that follow you. If a lot of people follow you and you don?t follow them, they will stop following you. If you are following plenty of people but just a few are following you, you?ll be seen as a spammer.

These are some ideas to keep both numbers balanced:

  • Grow slow. Instead of instantly adding 200 new friends, add maybe 50 and wait for them to follow you back. Then follow another 50
  • Use tools like Friend or Follow where you can check who is following you whom you are not following. It also allows you to see who is not following you back. It?s a great way to balance your ratio in just a few minutes

11. Make it worthwhile to follow you

Tweet interesting stuff. If your post is not something you would be interested in, chances are that your followers will feel the same way.

Facebook

Like other social media tools, Facebook takes time and effort to master the features and understand the community. Facebook is about connecting with people rather than selling your business.?

12. Put together a killer profile page

Create a profile page that will look attractive to your customers or business contacts. A simple and effective page is the most powerful. You should provide enough information to pique the interest of your target market, and your profile page should be created with this goal in mind.??? Take full advantage of all the new Timeline features.

13. Create a killer cover photo

Use your design skills to create a cover photo that promotes you and your brand. Be creative and stay within Facebook guidelines. This is the first image that people see so make it fun or cool or interesting.

14. Share videos and images

Facebook puts emphasis on visual content and people are more likely to share videos and images than static posts or links. Take advantage of this and post your best design work. Post more visual content such as infographics, charts, photos, etc.

15. Pin to the top

Pin important posts to stay at the top of your timeline. You can pin one post at a time for up to seven days. Remember to update your anchor pin every seven days. You can also highlight posts to give specific items more real estate on your timeline.

16. Hone your About section

Create a keyword rich About section with a hyperlink to your website.

If people have taken the trouble to click through to your About page, make sure you grab their attention

17. Promote your blog

If you have a personal company or business blog, you can import it into your Facebook notes. Each of your blog postings will then appear in your news feed and that of your contacts. This is a fantastic way to keep your business contacts up to date with your blog.

18. Use interest lists

Create interest lists in your niche, and include your brand in them to increase exposure.

19. Utilise milestones

Fill in Milestones to update fans on your accomplishments. Milestones are where you can tell your story. This is a great opportunity to add important design moments in your company.

20. Check Insights

Pay attention to your metrics on Insights. You can use this information to figure out when the best time to post is and see what content gets the most interactions.

Clearly, social media marketing takes time and effort. Spark conversations, share information, be helpful. Doing these things can lead to new connections for your business.

Rice University researchers create sprayon battery, powered bathroom tiles

Liquid solar cells are pretty neat, to be sure, but current-generating paint can be a hard color to match. Good thing, then, that researchers at Rice university have developed the perfect complement: a spray-on battery. By carefully layering five coats of specially formulated paint, the team has found a way to apply a thin coat of lithium ion storage to multiple surfaces, including glass, ceramics, steel and flexible polymers. Early experiments are promising -- after applying the process to nine ordinary bathroom tiles, the painted batteries were able to power a small array of LEDs (spelling "Rice") for six hours, consistently pumping out 2.4 volts of electricity. After 60 charge / discharge cycles, researches say the batteries retained most of their capacity. Neelam Singh, Rice graduate student and lead author of the team's report, says the technology will only improve when coupled with modern methods. "Spray painting is already an industrial process, so it will be very easy to incorporate this into industry," she said. "We really do consider this a paradigm changer." Scope out the processes (and its fruits) for yourself after the break.

Stockton official: Mediation with creditors fails

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) ? Officials in Stockton said Tuesday that mediation with creditors has failed, meaning the Central California city is set to become the largest American city ever to declare bankruptcy.

City Manager Bob Deis said officials were unable to reach a deal to restructure hundreds of millions of dollars of debt under a new state law designed to help municipalities avoid bankruptcy.

Monday marked the three-month deadline for negotiations.

"Unfortunately we have no comprehensive set of agreements with our creditors that would eliminate the deficit and avoid insolvency," Deis said at a City Council meeting. He said, however, that the city was still negotiating with some creditors and could reach deals with as many as one-third of them.

"We think Chapter 9 protection is the only choice left. If we get any agreements, those will be honored in Chapter 9," Deis said.

The City Council voted 6-1 Tuesday evening to approve a special bankruptcy budget to plug next year's anticipated $26 million deficit. The budget will suspend debt payments, reduce payments for retiree medical benefits and increase revenue through code enforcement and parking citations, among other steps.

The proposed budget includes no major service reductions, Deis said earlier.

City lawyers would have to file for Chapter 9 protection in court by Friday.

"If we had other choices that would fill the millions of dollars of deficit, we'd be doing that," Mayor Ann Johnston said. "The reality is the gap is so big and so broad, we have to do something this drastic. This is not what we wanted to do but this is what we have a responsibility to do."

The river port city of 290,000 in Central California has seen its property taxes and other revenues decline, while expensive investments and generous retiree benefits drained city coffers.

In the past three years, officials in the city that was slammed by the collapse of the housing market dealt with $90 million in deficits through a series of drastic cuts.

They eliminated one-fourth of the city's police officers, one-third of the fire staff, and 40 percent of all other employees. They also cut wages and medical benefits.

"The whole purpose of filing Chapter 9 is to avoid an uncontrolled chaotic situation," he said. "Bankruptcy provides the equivalent of a pause button. It retains services and provides structure so you don't have a bunch of lawsuits."

In a standing-room only chambers Tuesday, former city employees told council members about their life-threatening medical conditions and said benefit cuts meant they would effectively lose their health insurance.

"For me, bankruptcy might as well be a life sentence," said Gary Jones, a retiree who used to be a police officer in Stockton and said he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Other residents complained about plummeting property values, and recurring break-ins and robberies.

"The average citizen will not put up with this. Their home prices have plummeted, they have no jobs, a lot of people are getting fed up so that they have to resort to crime." said Gregory Pitsch, a 22-year-old unemployed resident who made an unsuccessful run for mayor. "I'm asking you to make the right decision, not destroy the property values in this city, which bankruptcy will do."

But city officials say Stockton has run out of options. In recent years, thousands of new homes mushroomed in the city about 80 miles east of San Francisco, part of a suburban housing boom that attracted buyers from the Bay Area and beyond.

When the economy crashed and the construction bubble burst, Stockton was battered by foreclosures and lost income from property taxes and other fees.

Multi-year labor contracts for city workers carrying escalating costs and generous retirement plans added to the burden.

In addition, expensive city investments ? a promenade, sports arena and hotel ? failed to produce economic benefits.

The unemployment rate has doubled in Stockton over the past decade and now hovers around 16 percent. One-fifth of residents live below the poverty line, and the city has twice topped Forbes magazine's list of "America's most miserable cities."

Under a bankruptcy filing, officials would retain power over day-to-day city operations and staffing, but a judge would take over all decisions concerning the city's debts, said Robert Benedetti, professor of political science at the University of the Pacific in Stockton.

The judge would decide which creditors should be paid, how much and in what order. He would make allowances for expenditures needed by the city to function, and it would be up to city officials to decide how to spend that money.

"One of the reasons a city might want to go the bankruptcy route is that they don't want a situation where they have to pay out debts and have to close the police or fire department," Benedetti said. "Filing for Chapter 9 means you're asking the court to protect you against lawsuits from people who hold your debt."

Stockton's bankruptcy would make it the largest city by population to file for Chapter 9 protection, according to Jim Spiotto, a Chicago bankruptcy lawyer who tracks such cases. He said Bridgeport, Conn., was the largest city to file for bankruptcy, which it did in 1991, followed by Vallejo, Calif., which filed in 2008.

Jefferson County in Alabama is the largest local government bankruptcy filing to date in terms of the size of its debt. It occurred in November 2011 and was followed by Orange County, Calif., in 1994.

Experts say the bankruptcy filing, while protecting the city from catastrophe in the short run, should not be seen as Stockton's panacea.

"Bankruptcy won't take away Stockton's underlying financial problems, one of which is the economy, the high unemployment rate and the high foreclosure rate," Benedetti said. "It will take years for them to come out of this."

Stockton was the first city to test a new state mediation law, which is less than 6 months old.

Under the law, municipalities considering bankruptcy must first negotiate behind closed doors with creditors for up to three months, with the goal of settling debts without filing for Chapter 9 protection.

The city spent $3 million on mediation with creditors that included Wells Fargo & Co., the California Public Employees' Retirement System, labor groups, and major bondholders.

Stockton officials have said that even with a bankruptcy, they are optimistic. They point to Vallejo, which emerged from bankruptcy last year.

"Vallejo is leaner, smarter and they've got the confidence of their citizenry," Deis said. "I think Stockton will be doing the same."

Johnston said Tuesday night that the city would eventually come out of the ordeal with a brighter future.

"We will survive," she said. "We will manage to get through this. It will be painful for us, but we will come out stronger."

Sexual Freedom is Conducive to Social ... - Morocco World News

By Larbi Arbaoui

Morocco World News

Taroudant, Morocco, June 27, 2012

The proposal to repeal the Penal Code Article 490, which prohibits sexual relations outside of marriage does not please everyone, and rather made so many gorges rise.

This proposal doesn?t provide a solution, but creates more problems and paves the way to endless social and ethical issues. Sexual freedom endorsed by few activists should not be understood as a mere political card aiming to kindle the rough of Islamist-led government. For human right activists, this provision of law is an obstacle to sexual freedom, which ? they believe ? is one of the freedoms that every individual has to be endowed with. But can we just stop at that level?

Sexual freedom advocated by the so-called human right activists is to be understood as an explicit sexual liberation movement aiming to increase the acceptance of sex outside social institutions, implicitly including heterosexual, lesbianism and homosexuality. These proposals, which are in stark contrast with Moroccan religion and culture, may lead other people to claim public nudity as unalienable personal rights, the normalization of homosexuality as an alternative form of legal sexuality and more likely abortion will be legalized. Before you come down on the side of a certain party, I would like to invite you to consider these facts, which are the result of sexual intercourse outside marriage.

Every year in Morocco, according to figures of the Moroccan Association of the National Institution for Solidarity with Women in Distress (Insaf), quoted by AFP, more than 80,000 children are born out of wedlock. Such alarming figures of homeless and abandoned children call into question the responsibility of everyone and the role of family.

What future is there for babies who are the result of a fleeting ephemeral pleasure? Who is to blame for children who have no chance to have a social status or to be recognized by their fathers? It is up to you to guess under what circumstances these children will be raised and educated so that they can function properly in their society.

Sexual freedom under the pretext of securing individual rights is in collision with the requirements of international human rights, which emphasize the respect of the specificities of a certain nation. These claims are very dangerous to the natural balance and stability of the society. Family is not only a social pretext, under which sexual rapport is practiced legally, but a social institution that affords protection and care for the babies and also a cultural unit which teaches human values and beliefs to the next generations.

Susan L. Brown from Bowling Green State University found that children born to married couples, on average, ?experience better education, social, cognitive and behavioral outcomes.? Any violation of family as a social and cultural unit is a knockdown to the history and human values.

People who have no respect for the family, social values and cultural considerations that characterize a certain people are likely to be driven by their uncontrolled sexual desires. I do believe, that sexual desires if not suppressed and controlled outside a social pretext, that will protect both partners, will naturally lead the whole population to chaos and will bring the society to a moral decadence. At the absence of regulations and explicit penal codes, such people, who advocate sexual freedom, will be immersed in an extreme indulgence in sensual pleasures that may be the cause of so many health complications and social disorder.

Fujifilm outlines XPro1 lens roadmap, brings zoom at last this fall

If there's been one outstanding gripe with Fujifilm's X-Pro1 camera, it's been the absence of zoom lenses; short of French kissing the subject, you might not get the photos you want. While there isn't much of a solution right this second outside of buying the fixed-lens X10, the Japanese camera designer can say when we'll see an interchangeable XF-mount zoom lens: fall 2012. That's when a bright 18-55mm, f/2.8-4.0 optically stabilized lens will make its appearance, along with a 14mm f/2.8 prime. Fujifilm will revert to unveiling nothing but pancakes and primes during early 2013, but the middle of that year will finish covering the zoomable basics through a wide-angle 10-24mm f/4.0 OIS lens and a 55-200mm, f/3.5-4.8 OIS telephoto. We wouldn't expect pricing with the new glass still months away -- but at least you can start planning that Sumatra vacation knowing you won't have to chase down the wildlife to get a good keepsake shot.

US futures head lower, Spain seeks help for banks

NEW YORK (AP) ? U.S. stock futures slid Monday, as did global markets, with Spain requesting help for its teetering banks.

Dow Jones industrial average futures tumbled 100 points to 12,468. Standard & Poor's 500 futures fell 11.8 points to 1,315 and Nasdaq futures gave up 18.5 points to 2,555.

Spain isn't saying how much of the $125 billion made available by the European Union that it will need.

The request comes just ahead of a critical economic summit in Brussels and markets have exhibited little faith that Europe will act quickly to address countries most at risk.

Germany's finance minister has already rejected calls from President Barack Obama for Europe to move faster in containing its debt crisis. Wolfgang Schaeuble suggested that Obama get the American deficit under control instead.

"People are always very quick at giving others advice," Schaeuble told public broadcaster ZDF in an interview late Sunday.

Shares of European banks like Spain's Banco Santander SA and Deutsche Bank AG fell sharply and investors distanced themselves from U.S. banking stocks as well in premarket trading, with shares of all major banks heading lower.

"Anemic credit demand, a flattening yield curve and a near-hostile regulatory environment appear to have little significance to investors presently as bank stocks are being driven by the European debt crisis and the impact of quantitative easing on interest rates," Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. said Monday. "Eventually, company fundamentals will matter again, but not today."

The U.S. Commerce Department reports new home sales figures for May after the market opens.

Economists expect that sales rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 346,000 in May, up 0.9 percent from the April reading, according to a survey by FactSet.

Though new homes represent less than 20 percent of the housing market, they have an enormous impact on the economy. Each home built creates an average of three jobs for a year and generates about $90,000 in tax revenue, according to statistics compiled by the National Association of Home Builders.

However, people are still having difficulty qualifying home loans and many can't afford the large down payments required by banks.

The report is due at 10 a.m. Eastern time on Monday.

MIT projection system extends video to peripheral vision, samples footage in real-time

MIT projection system extends video to peripheral vision, samples footage in real-time

Researchers at the MIT Media Lab have developed an ambient lighting system for video that would make Philips' Ambilight tech jealous. Dubbed Infinity-by-Nine, the rig analyzes frames of footage in real-time -- with consumer-grade hardware no less -- and projects rough representations of the video's edges onto a room's walls or ceiling. Synchronized with camera motion, the effect aims to extend the picture into a viewer's peripheral vision. MIT guinea pigs have reported a greater feeling of involvement with video content when Infinity-by-Nine was in action, and some even claimed to feel the heat from on-screen explosions. A five screen multimedia powerhouse it isn't, but the team suggests that the technology could be used for gaming, security systems, user interface design and other applications. Head past the jump to catch the setup in action.
